Portland (Ore.) Jesuit offensive lineman Andrew Kirkland (6-5, 298), knows someday, he rib his teammates along the offensive line. But now isn't the time.

One of three D-I lineman for Jesuit, Doug Brenner is committed to Oregon and Max Rich has a handful of offers, Kirkland was the first of the trio to make his decision, committing to Washington.

"It feels fantastic to be a part of this offensive line," said Kirkland. "They're my best buddies over there and it feels good that we've all worked so hard to get to where we are. There isn't any trash talk about our future schools. We're teammates now and we all play for each other."

Kirkland will eventually play for Washington, an opportunity he's thrilled for.

"It was great to be able to commit to Washington," said Kirkland. "I'm going to set my visit up with them in January so I can get the whole time with them, and not just for a game, when they're stressed about their game."

Kirkland plans to be in Seattle later this month.

"I'll be going up for the USC game and I'm excited about that," said Kirkland.

Kirkland said a few other Pac-12 schools are still in contact with him.

"I'm still hearing from other schools, and I might take other visits, but I'm still solidly committed to Washington," said Kirkland. "I'm hearing from Oregon State, Utah and Arizona State."

In the meantime, Kirkland said he's been focused on Jesuit, as they focus on winning a potential state title.

"We're in Metro League now and we've got to stay focused and hungry," said Kirkland.
