Maryland Commit Still Probing For Offers

Maryland commit Kingsley Opara is still committed to Maryland but is listening to other offers.

The early bird gets the worm. That was case when Kingsley Opara, one of Jacksonville's top defensive linemen, committed to Maryland last spring after the Terps handed him his first offer. However, the 2013 defensive tackle of Mandarin High School is still on the lookout for any incoming offers from other programs that have caught his interest.

As of Monday, Opara said his commitment to Maryland is in the “mid-fifties” and has been waiting for offers from Louisville, Purdue, NC State, and Georgia Tech. Opara will wait until after the season to plan official visits, but where he will visit heavily depends on what happens in the next few months.

“I'm not going to take any official visits to schools unless they're going to offer me,” Opara said.
