Florida LB getting looks

Evan Harvey is a talented linebacker prospect from American Heritage High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Evan Harvey is one of the top linebackers in Palm Beach County this year and he talked about his senior season.

"It's going really good and we're undefeated," Harvey said. "I have four sacks, a pick 6 against Armwood, and 12 tackles for loss."

Harvey is still sitting on just one offer and talked more about recruiting.

"My only offer is from Colgate and other D1AA's such as Lehigh and Wofford are looking at me but I'm still waiting for a big offer."

A few other Division 1 schools have Harvey's attention.

"I'd like to play in the Northeast," he said. "Penn State has always been a favorite and I'll be sending coach Johnson my highlights at the end of the regular season. I also like Pitt, Boston College, NIU and Bowling Green. And Miami of Ohio is coming to see me tomorrow."

The talented linebacker prospect then talked about what he'll be looking for in a college.

"The Head coach and my position coach will definitely be number one priority," he said. "I have to feel comfortable, which having a coach that I get along with really helps. And the academics -- which Colgate has -- great academics."
