Cole Ousley was knocked out of a game early this season with a shoulder injury. But the junior quarterback returned last weekend and put on quite a show.

Ousley had missed the previous six games with a shoulder injury, but made a successful return against Hopkins County Central last week, going 5 of 6 for 120 yards and three touchdowns.

"I just got back on the field last week. I only played the first quarter," said Ousley. "You can't even imagine how excited I was. I'm feeling good. I almost have full strength back," he said.

Ousley has also still had some contact with colleges, despite the injury.

"Recruiting is going pretty good. Still no offers, but I'm hopefully getting close," he said. "I went to the Louisville and Kentucky game and I went to Arkansas. I'm planning trips to LSU and Western Kentucky as well," he continued.

Ousley is excited to be back on the field again tomorrow to help his team to a district championship against Madisonville-North Hopkins.

"We have a big game against Madisonville on Friday. It's the district title game," he said. "You don't ever know how much you love the game until it's gone," he finished.
