Snodgrass Close To Making The Call

Saturday found Springfield (Ohio) wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass back at Ohio State. With a Buckeye offer already in hand, Snodgrass could be getting close to making a decision. We get the latest from the early four-star receiver.

Making the short drive over to Ohio State has become second nature for Springfield (Ohio) receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass. The 6-2, 175-pounder was back visiting the Buckeyes as they took on Purdue this past Saturday and a good time has enjoyed by all.

"It was a fun time," said Snodgrass. "I walked around and talked with some of the players before going out and watching them warm-up. I then watched the game and everyone was excited despite the team being down. But they fought back and won the game and it was great."

Leading the way for the Buckeyes is receivers coach Zach Smith.

"Coach Smith is my main recruiter and we have a real strong relationship," said Snodgrass. "He's line one of my brothers as he's real cool and a laidback person. We talk all the time about life and football when we talk."

Is Snodgrass ready to name a leader or make a commitment?

"I could see myself at a lot of programs," explained Snodgrass. "Academics are real important as well as having a chance to play early. As for Ohio State, I like how they play as a family and stay together and play strong. As for making my commitment I'll know more about that tomorrow."

Right now Snodgrass looks to be favoring Ohio State. He talks highly about Notre Dame as well as Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan State. Several minutes after we spoke we spoke again as Thaddeus sent out a tweet saying he would make a commitment next week at his high school. With that said it looks extremely strong for Ohio State at this time. The only other program we feel could be in the running would be Notre Dame as Snodgrass enjoyed his camp experience and spoke with an Irish coach Monday night.
