6-foot-5, 255 pound offensive tackle Grant Lingafelter had racked in offers from Akron, Ball State, Cincinnati, Marshall, Miami (OH), Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan throughout his high school career. The senior now feels he knows where he wants to end up.
"I've committed to Miami of Ohio," said Lingafelter. "I talked it over with my parents and the coaches and decided it was time to commit. I loved the direction their program is heading and their academics were just too hard to pass up."
Lingafelter has been to Oxford before and will be heading there again soon.
"I've visited once and will be there again this weekend. When I committed the coaches were very happy. I'm their first O-Line commit. Knowing I'm going to Miami is awesome and is such a relief. I'm happy I know where I'm going."
While the senior is committed to the Red Hawks, he will be visiting a Big Ten school in the future.
"I'll be going to Indiana in a couple of weeks."
