Couple Recent Offers for Brown

FOX Sports NEXT is in the streets this fall to bring you all the coverage from across the Midlands region. Recently, we caught up with Alief Taylor wide receiver Keenen Brown from Houston, Texas. He gave us a brief update on his offers and how this season is going for him…

Even though his team has been successful with a run-heavy approach to games, Houston (TX) Alief Taylor wide receiver Keenen Brown is still turning heads and attracting a number of college coaches each week. And though he said that he would love to see more touches as far as the passing game, he clearly is doing enough to let a number of programs know that he is their guy.

"Things are going pretty good for me right now. I have 20 catches for 465 yards and five touchdowns," the 2014 recruit Brown said.

He is now up to eight offers by his count, the latest coming from West Virginia and Missouri, both of which came over the past couple of weeks. In addition, one of the schools that have previously offered has been keeping steady contact with him.

"Ole Miss has been talking with me a lot," Brown said.

So far, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Brown has not made any trips to check out games this season. And though he would like to do so, that may get tough going forward as the next three games for Taylor are on Saturday afternoons.

Even still, a number of coaches like what they have seen so far, and plenty more will surely add their schools to the list.

"I would like to get out to some games, but we have a lot of Saturday games so that makes it hard," Brown said. "I still hear from coaches though. They tell me they like the way I am aggressive in going after the ball. They also like how I am physical off the line. I don't really get any press coverage anymore."

Utah, SMU, Indiana and Houston are some of the other programs that have offered Brown too.
