Florida RB sets first visit

Stafon McCray is a standout running back prospect from Osceola High in Kissimmee and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Stafon McCray is one of the top running back prospects in the greater Orlando area this year. Through five games, he'd rushed for close to 600 yards and nine touchdowns. He talked about the latest with recruiting.

"I was supposed to go to Marshall Friday but I'm going November 3rd," McCray said. "And I'll visit Ohio soon. Utah is in there, too"

McCray, 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, talked about what he likes about those schools.

"Utah, I like the style of play. They get after it. I think Marshall's coach said they are leading in the country for rushing. But Ohio, they really got my intrest."

In addition to those three schools who are actively recruiting him, McCray still hears from a few others from time to time.

"FIU, Cincinnati, Boise State, and also Purdue," he said.

So what is the talented running back prospect looking for in a school?

"Do they have my major such as technology or engineering," he said. "Where do I fit on the team, and playing time."
