Ben Grogan, a 6-foot-0, 170-pound kicker from Arlington (Texas) Martin High has grabbed his first official scholarship offer.

"Ben picked up his first Big East offer this morning," explained Arlington Martin Head Coach Bob Wager.

So far in 2012, Grogan has made eight field goals and successfully completed 27 point after attempts.

Voted as a Team Captain in the pre-season, Grogan went 6-for-6 in last Friday's 47-7 win over North Crowley (Texas). He made three of the kicks from 50 yards or longer (56, 52, 52).

He is also averaging more than 50 yards per punt on the season.

As a junior in 2011, Grogan shared time with current TCU kicker Jaden Oberkrom, but made 37-of-37 PATS and 13 field goals.

Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State are also showing recruiting interest. Grogan's name is one that is likely to heat up down the recruiting home-stretch.
