(UPDATED 10/25/12) A look at some of the top running back performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team so far this season. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Allan Hancock RB Cameron Artis-Payne - In his team's 49-42 win over Pasadena, Artis-Payne had a career day, posting 351 yards rushing and four touchdowns. In seven games so far this season, Artis-Payne has rushed for 1,467 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Riverside RB E.J. Schexnayder - The sophomore tailback continues to impress with his grind-it-out style and was a big reason the Tigers got a 21-18 win over Citrus, carrying the ball 25 times for 138 yards. This season, Schexnayder has rushed for 812 yards and six touchdowns while hauling in 17 receptions for 235 yards and three more scores.

Saddleback RB Anthony Cade - In Saddleback's 52-24 win over Orange Coast, Cade was a real workhorse, carrying the ball 18 times for 177 yards including a touchdown run of 60 yards while also hauling in four receptions for 60 yards including a 21-yard TD reception. Cade leads the Gauchos in rushing with 633 yards and four touchdowns and also leads the team in receiving with 49 receptions for 376 yards and three touchdowns.

Fullerton RB Ryan Byrd - The freshman ran the ball 17 times for 136 yards and had a touchdown while helping lead the Hornets to a come-from-behind 33-32 win over Palomar. Byrd leads Fullerton with 374 yards rushing and five touchdowns this season.

Santa Monica RB Myles Johnson - Santa Monica got a 17-0 win over L.A. Valley last week to get to 6-1 on the season and Johnson was a big reason why, racking up 149 yards and one touchdown in the victory. The sophomore tailback leads the Corsairs with 755 yards and seven touchdowns and has also hauled in 13 receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown in seven games this year.

Mt. San Jacinto RB Superiorr Reid - Reid was a workhorse for his team last weekend, toting the rock 31 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Mt. San Jacinto's 24-21 win over Chaffey. The freshman leads his team with 1061 yards and 10 scores this year.

Pasadena RB Marciss Grigsby - The talented freshman did all he could to keep Pasadena in the game, but they still fell to Allan Hancock by a score of 49-42 despite Grigsby's 102 yards rushing and a touchdown on 16 carries.

Santa Ana RB Areseo Lakey - Lakey probably needed a long stint in the ice bath after his 34-carry, 120-yard, three-touchdown effort in the Dons' 28-21 win over Golden West last week to get Santa Ana to 6-2 on the season.

Mt. San Antonio RB Jamal Overton - The freshman totaled 132 yards and two scores in the Mounties' 52-42 win over L.A. Harbor last week.

Mt. San Antonio RB Sir-Darius Yarbrough - Not to be outdone by his teammate, Yarbrough toted the rock 17 times for 112 yards and a score to chip in on Mt. San Antonio's 52-42 win over L.A. Harbor.

Butte RB Derek Seward - The sophomore tailback splits time and carries with Cameron Mikell, another big-time tailback, but Seward had the hot hand last week in Butte's 35-25 loss to DeAnza, carrying the ball 17 times for 137 yard and three touchdowns.

City College of San Francisco RB Kris Olugbode - Olugbode just keep churning out the yardage and helping the Rams grind out wins. Last week, in CCSF's 31-28 win over College of San Mateo, the sophomore carried the ball 25 times for 123 yards and a touchdown. In seven games this season, Olugbode has rushed for 996 yards and 12 scores.

College of the Sequoias RB D'Wayne Childs - Childs had a solid game last week, carrying the ball 16 times for 118 yards and a touchdown, but the Giants still fell to San Joaquin Delta by a score of 42-18. The talented freshman has rushed for 566 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

Reedley RB Ernest Carter - Reedley got a big 52-38 win over Merced last week and Carter had a big game, rushing for 109 yards and one touchdown on just eight carries.

Laney RB Kyle Jackson - Laney lost to Chabot 37-36, but Jackson still had a solid game, rushing for 107 yards and two scores on 20 carries.

Monterey Penninsula RB Nichola Alarcon - Alarcon had a great game last week in his team's 54-7 blowout win over West Valley, totaling 109 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries.

Yuba RB Juan Johnson - Johnson's performance was key in Yuba's 51-19 win over Redwoods, carrying the ball 35 times for 121 yards and three scores.

Yuba RB Jeremy Williams - Williams took a back seat to Johnson during Yuba's 51-19 win over Redwoods, but still rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Hutchinson RB Terrell Lane - Lane rushed for 220 yards and one touchdown in Hutchinson's 37-14 win over Fort Scott. Lane has totaled 1,374 yards and 15 touchdowns so far in eight games this season.

Lackawanna QB DeChavon Hayes - The freshman was outstanding in Lackawanna's 48-10 win over Monroe, carrying the ball 21 times for 201 yards and two touchdowns. While helping to lead his team to a 5-3 record, Hayes has rushed for 557 yards and six touchdowns.

Hinds RB Jabari Baker - Baker had a solid game last week, carrying the ball 12 times for 186 yards and a touchdown, but Hinds still lost, falling to Holmes 35-34. Baker has rushed for 697 yards and six touchdowns this season for the 3-5 Eagles.

Arizona Western RB DeSean Martin - Martin rushed for 179 yards and one touchdown in Arizona Western's 78-20 win over Mesa. The redshirt freshman has put up 508 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

Snow RB Breon Allen - Allen filled up the stat sheet for the Badgers last weekend, carrying the ball 27 times for 170 yards and one touchdown while also hauling in three receptions for 26 yards and another score in Snow's 45-27 win over New Mexico Military Institute. The sophomore tailback has been a real workhorse for the Badgers this season, rushing for 1,220 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Jones RB Reuben Ducksworth - Ducksworth had 18 carries for 160 yards and two scores in Jones' 34-0 win over Southwest Mississippi. The sophomore leads the Bobcats with 923 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground so far this season.

East Mississippi RB Rodriguez Moore - Moore had another huge game for the Lions, rushing for 144 yards in East Mississippi's 56-49 win over Northwest Mississippi. The sophomore tailback leads his team with 773 yards and nine touchdowns while also totaling 15 receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown.

Navarro RB Traylon Shead - The Texas bounceback rushed for 142 yards in the Bulldogs' 35-10 win over Blinn. Shead leads 7-1 Navarro with 893 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground so far this season.
