"I like playing both ways," Johnson said. "Playing receiver helps me as a corner. I get to work on my hands and ball skills and it's good to gauge route running as well. I'll play corner in college but right now, I really like playing on both sides."
Johnson was set to take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend but the trip fell through earlier in the week. Johnson has already visited Washington and is mainly focusing on a trio of Pac 12 schools.
"I like Stanford, UCLA and Washington," Johnson said. "I'm working my butt off right now to try and get in to Stanford. I'm taking two AP classes and I also need to take the SAT again. I've already taken it once but I need to score a little higher.
"I'm good for UCLA and Washington but I want to have Stanford as an option too. If I can get in to Stanford, they'll probably be tough to beat. If not, UCLA and Washington will be my top two. I had a great trip to Washington and UCLA has been a co-leader with Stanford since the summer so I really like these three schools a lot."
Johnson hasn't set up trip dates with Stanford or UCLA yet and said he'll likely take both visits after the season.
