"It was great," he said. "They have amazing fans and I was impressed by how hard they played even with the lost."
Jones had a chance to spend a little more time with the staff in Madison, and they made sure to let him know that he is a wanted man.
"I talked to the coaches and they were saying how impressed they are with me as a person and player and I'm the type of player they look for at Wisconsin."
The Badgers are off to a strong start in the class of 2014, with five commitments, four from in-state and quarterback Chance Stewart from Michigan.
Those prospects have banded together and have helped build the class through social networking and other means of convincing fellow top prospects to join them, and Jones is now one of their top targets.
"They were just telling me about how great it is there and if I have any questions or anything to message them and things like that."
Jones, who has been on several visits this year, plans to visit Ohio State on November 24th.
