Krueger Enjoys Illini Homecoming

Marmion Academy (Ill.) junior quarterback Brock Krueger talks about his Saturday visit to Champaign, and the University of Illinois.

A large group of in-state prospects visited Illinois on Saturday for their game against Indiana. One of them was Marmion Academy junior quarterback Brock Krueger, who says he had a great time in Champaign.

"The game atmosphere was really cool. The University of Illinois started homecoming, so being at that game and seeing the tradition was a great experience."

Krueger visited earlier in the season, and this time, he got to speak with the coaches more about when they would have a chance to see him in action.

"I got to talk to them a little bit. Coach Nichols told me that Coach Golesh would be visiting me at school in December sometime, and coach Beatty wants to see me throw after their season."

The first time he visited, the Illini were the only school recruiting him. Now that the season has progressed, he has picked up interest from a couple other schools.

"Missouri and Cincinnati have both been sending me a lot of letters, but I have no visits coming up that I know of."
