Tramel Terry is the top prospect in the state for the 2013 recruiting class but one player who is playing on a similar level as Terry right now is Byrnes wide receiver Akia Booker. The two prospects are very similar in build and abilities on the field as both can excel coming out of the backfield or at wideout. Booker and his Rebels faced the always tough Dorman Cavaliers on Friday night and they needed their superstar to pull out a hard fought victory.
Booker was electric again as he scored 5 touchdowns for the Rebels in a thriller over the Cavaliers. The 2013 prospect was in the backfield for the Rebels carrying 17 times for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also caught 5 passes for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Recently selected to this year's Shrine Bowl team Booker was the difference maker for the Rebels as he continues to pile up stats in a major way and colleges are starting to make a late rush at him. He has an offer from Tennessee and we expect more offers to come in before too long for one of the state's most dynamic playmakers.
