Larose Flips to Maryland

Wilde Lake High (Columbia, Md.) offensive lineman Moise Larose changed his commitment to Maryland, a school he long coveted an offer from.

Even when committing to Rutgers in the spring, Moise Larose coveted an offer from Maryland. And when the offer came, he quickly snatched it up.

Rather than heading north to be part of the Scarlet Knights, Larose switched his commitment to the Terps, his coach told Sam Hellman of FOXSportsNEXT.

"Moise Larose decommitted from Rutgers and committed to the University of Maryland," Wilde Lake High (Columbia, Md.) coach Mike Harrison said via text.

Larose was waiting for a Maryland offer since the spring, and landed one earlier this week. In the spring, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Larose talked about why he liked Maryland so much.

"I went to their junior day and I had a great time there," Larose said. "I'm just waiting to see if they're going to offer me or not. That's my No. 1 choice. It's relatively close, they're No. 1 in the field I want to be in and it's just a great college to a part of."
