According to head coach Willie Spears, Pensacola (Fla.) Escambia has several D1 caliber underclassmen. Leading the way is running back DaNikeei Hollowell.
"He's a 1,000 yard rusher with great speed," Spears said. "There's no question that I believe he's an SEC/ACC talent. He's only a junior.
"So is George Rutherford. This kid can do it all. He plays guard but I think he will be a center. He's 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds. We just timed him running a 5.0 [forty]. We are more of a rushing team but he can pass protect as well. George has those great feet and skinny ankles. He's only played two seasons and is the type of guy that always wants to learn."
Another speedster in their 2014 class is Airion Wallace. He also plays running back but projects as a cornerback and will see a lot of action next season at that position. Wallace is 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds.
Sophomore Felton Jackson is another one to watch in their class of 2015. He's a super quick and very fast cornerback/wing-back that is now 5-foot-8 and 160-pounds.
"I know a couple of those schools are supposed to see him this weekend," Spears said.
Lindsey is 5-foot-10 and 205-pounds.
