Midlands Senior Film Review

Scout.com breaks down senior film and provides rankings insight on of some of the region's top prospects...

DT/OG/C Andrew Billings (6-1, 305) – Waco High

Considering offers from Baylor, TCU, Texas

One of the most physically imposing players in the entire country. The first thing that jumps out is his superior strength. Whether he lines up on the offensive line or the defensive line he plays each and every play with a chip on his shoulder. When he gets his hands on the opposition he makes them pay. He moves extremely well for a bigger bodied player and will be a force in college no matter what side of the ball he ends up playing.

Rankings Talk: Look for Billings to move up nationally at the defensive tackle position. He is already a 4-star but will make a run at the National Top 100.

Bryson Burtnett – Springtown High

Committed to TCU

Burtnett spends a lot of time on the defensive side of the ball at defensive end, where he overmatches many high school offensive linemen. He has a knack for recovering fumbles. On offense he shows that he can be a devastating blocker and shows bursts of nice athleticism. He has a great frame with great size at the position. He is also a reliable long snapper.

Rankings Talk: In a battle with Charlie Reid to remain as the No. 4 TE in the region. A solid three-star selection.

Fred Ross – John Tyler High

Committed to Oklahoma State

He is a physical and explosive player. He is able to use his body to shield defenders from the ball. He has good hands. He is thick and strong and looks to be physically ready to play the position in college. He is not lightning quick in and out of his cuts, but runs disciplined routes and is able to get separation. He has good feet, above average hands and the playmakers instinct.

Rankings Talk: Ross will remain in the Scout300 but will slide up at his position rankings spot and jump a couple of players ranked ahead of him.

CB Antwuan Davis – Bastrop High

Committed to Texas

Davis is a pure speedster and you can see that speed on tape, especially when he carries the ball on offense. He splits defenders and takes it to the house. He has a lot of straight line speed and his lateral movement is continually getting better after suffering an injury as a junior. He has great size at the corner position, long arms that allow him to break up passes ay the highest point.

Rankings Talk: Look for Davis to stand pat right about the spot he is at right now. He is rated amongst the Top 150 players in the country.

OT Joseph Noteboom – Plano High

Committed to TCU

After playing some tight end as a younger player Noteboom has completed his transformation in to an offensive lineman. He mans the left tackle spot and does a good job of protecting the quarterback on passing downs and is able to drive defenders off the ball to create lanes for backs to get through. He has a nice upside with frame development potential and the quickness to be a success in college.

Rankings Talk: Currently rated as a two-star Noteboom has shown the improvement as a senior to be bumped to a solid three-star.

OT Jake Raulerson – Celina High

Committed to Texas

One of the most technically skilled offensive linemen in the state. He gets off the ball, stays low and drives defenders backwards. He uses great hand placement to control his man at the line of scrimmage and plays hard until the whistle. Has added some more bulk to his frame for his senior season which has allowed him to deliver more pack to the punch. On defense, he keeps his eyes in the backfield and uses his hands well to get off block to make plays.

Rankings Talk: Raulerson will remain in the Top 100. He is rated as an offensive tackle, but could be equally highly rated as an interior linemen or defensive end.

DE Torrodney Prevot – Alief Taylor High

Committed to USC

Prevot is money coming off of the edge and using his speed rush and while he could stand to use some more size and strength on his frame he does do a great job of using his length to his advantage. His hands are strong and he can get off of blocks. He is super fast in the open field and tracks down the most nimble ball carriers. He should be a terror, specializing in getting after the quarterback in college.

Rankings Talk: Prevot showed some more power without losing any speed. Will remain as one of the Top 125 in the country.

FB Tre Allen – Longview High

Committed to Arkansas State

Playing a hybrid defensive end/linebacker role in high school. He does not have ideal length to likely be a defensive end in college, but could end up playing a fullback or linebacker role. He is strong at the point of impact and digs his heels in and uses what length he has to separate from blocks and make plays down the line against the run. He is a dependable defensive asset for the Lobos.

Rankings Talk: Look for him to be included in the national position rankings as a fullback.
