Game Film: RB Christian McCaffrey

Check out game film and an evaluation of the Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian 2014 running back Christian McCaffrey...

Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian running back Christian McCaffrey is a Scout 300 back in the 2014 class.

Scout was in Colorado last weekend to see the four-star against Broomfield (Colo.) Legacy in the state playoffs, with Stanford assistant coach Mike Sanford there in attendance to watch the best junior in Colorado (the Cardinal playing Colorado on Saturday).

The son of former NFL standout Ed McCaffrey, who played at Stanford, has tremendous speed and runs extremely tough between the tackles while also getting out into space quickly.

McCaffrey is ridiculously quick out of the backfield and has another gear in the open field. McCaffrey did a good job of seeing the hole and hitting the hole, fending off tacklers and showing the burst in space.

He's not just quick, he's fast too, and has terrific vision.

The Valor Christian offense also called for a lot of McCaffrey getting out and catching passes, and he was difficult to stay with on a couple of wheel routes.

Here are clips of McCaffrey against Legacy.
