Scott close on official visit

Every year you see a handful of players with elite talent, that for whatever reason, aren't recruited as heavily as they deserve. Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral two-way standout DaMari Scott is one such player this year.

DaMari Scott is a talented receiver who has also looked very good at corner and safety this season as well. He has good size, speed and plus athleticism. Scott has good ball skills and toughness and runs well after the catch. On the defensive side of the ball, Scott has the quickness and instincts to play corner and the size and hitting ability to play safety. He's just a very good all around football player but for whatever reason, only a few schools are showing interest. "Nevada and Boston College are the main two I'm hearing from," Scott said. "Oregon came to the school recently and I'm hearing a little from Oregon State as well. That's' really it though, I sent my film out to everyone and I'm just not hearing from anyone right now. "Boston College and Nevada have both offered me and I'm going to try and set up visits with them real soon here. I think it's time I just quit waiting around for other offers to come in and just run with who I've got."
