Could Moore decide soon?

Fresno (Calif.) Central defensive back L.J. Moore has a couple more visits to take but his recruitment could be coming to an end fairly soon.

L.J. Moore has taken official visits to Notre Dame, Texas Tech and Oregon State and may take at least one more before making a decision.

"I'm going to visit California but I haven't set a date yet," Moore said. "That will be an official visit and I'm going to wait until after my season is over before I set that up. They gave me a bunch of dates to pick from and I think they're having a big recruiting weekend December 8 so I'll see if that works.

"Right now, our team has won our first two playoff games and we're in the quarter finals now. I got moved to quarterback late in the year and we've been rolling ever since. I've had a lot of fun being back there directing traffic so hopefully we can keep it rolling."

Moore attended the Cal-Oregon game this past weekend and said the Bears are a definite player in his recruitment.

"Cal has always been there actually," Moore said. "Coach Arroyo is recruiting me and we have a good relationship. Cal played Oregon pretty tough early on but Oregon's offense is ridiculous and took over late. I like Cal though, I talk with Brendan Bigelow a lot and he keeps telling me how much he likes it there so I'm definitely interested."

This weekend, Moore will take an unofficial visit to Arizona State.

"I haven't been to ASU before so I'm looking forward to it," Moore said. "I would have made it an official but I didn't think I was going to have any visits open. I already had paid for my room so it's all good. I've never been to ASU but I've heard good things about it so I'm excited to check it out.

"Right now, Oregon State is definitely recruiting me the hardest. I have a great relationship with the coaches there and really like them a lot. I still talk a lot with Coach Denbrock at Notre Dame too and they're still on me hard. UCLA hasn't been on me as hard but I still like them and they're still one of my top schools."

As for a potential timeline for a decision, Moore said it could be soon.

"I do feel like I need to make it pretty soon here," Moore said. "A lot of the schools are hoping I'll decide and it's getting a little stressful. It hasn't been too bad but I know it would feel good to have the decision done and out of the way, kind of a weight off my back for sure."
