FAU DE commit plans to take visits

DeMarcus Glover is a standout defensive end prospect from Pine Forest High in Pensacola and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Demarcus Glover saw his senior season come to an end earlier than he had hoped.

"Unfortunately my season ended earlier than we planned but I had a good season," Glover said. "I made major improvements from last year."

Glover, 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, finished the season with 79 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three fumble recoveries.

On the recruiting front Glover made a recent commitment to FAU and remains pledged to the Owls.

"It's a very soft commit though," he said. "I'm open to any and all other schools who are possibly interested in me."

So why the original pledge to FAU?

"Really just the location, the majors they offer, and mainly because they offered four of some of my closest friends," he said.

Glover says his options are open and he may be taking a visit this weekend.

"I plan on attending Louisiana Lafayette this weekend against Western Kentucky," he said. "They're a pretty good school academically from what I've seen and heard. The football program seems to get better every week. They almost beat the Florida Gators on Saturday."

Glover is hoping a few more offers come his way soon. He talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school in the end.

"After I take my 5 official visits is when I will make my final decision," he said. "As far as looking for somewhere, the school has to have a good reputation, good academic programs, coaching staff, and will I be able to play."
