BCS Offers for Long

Darryl Long is becoming a junior to watch. On Monday night, the tight end added two Big Ten offers to his list.

Less than two weeks after picking up his first offer from Ohio, Westerville-South junior Darryl Long is adding another school to his list.

"Pittsburgh just offered me," said Long Monday evening. "I've been in contact with them before, and one of the coaches came up to my school today and told me they would be offering me."

The tight end says there's a lot about the Panthers that he likes.

"I really liked how friendly the coaches were. I also like how they have a tight end friendly offense and they are a top 20 institute."

One hour after the TE got his offer from Pittsburgh, Illinois came knocking.

"Illinois has also offered me. I toured their campus the same day as their Friday Night Lights camp and loved the atmosphere."

So how does it feel for Long to pick up his first BCS offers?

"It feels pretty good. It makes me want to better myself even more so I can make sure I'm ready to take that next step."
