Scouting Report: Ellis is a cornerback that is not the biggest, but big enough, and he is very tough. He is a competitor that likes to mix it up on the edge. He plays with a good amount of confidence and he knows he can make plays. He is a corner that is more quick than he is fast. He does not have that elite speed, but he is very quick in short space. He can open his hips and he is solid in press coverage and coverage off the ball. Overall, he is an aggressive corner who can sit down in soft coverage or be aggressive in press coverage and he can tackle one-on-one.
