(11/13/2012) A look at some of the top quarterback performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Scottsdale QB Jordan Gehrke - Gehrke had a great season for the Chokes this fall, hitting on nearly 52% of his passes for 2,378 yards, 22 touchdowns and 14 picks while leading SCC to a 5-5 record. This past week, in a 71-29 win over Phoenix College, the freshman hit on 31 of his 45 attempts for 405 yards with seven touchdowns and three touchdowns.

ASA QB Daniel Pietrangelo - The Avengers finished the season ranked third in the country with a 9-0 record and Pietrangelo's leadership from the quarterback position was a big reason why as he hit on 63.9% of his passes for 1,439 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Copiah-Lincoln QB Chandler Rogers - Rogers threw for 353 yards and four scores as Co-Lin got a 41-37 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast last weekend to get a State Championship. The sophomore signal-caller has completed 60.4% of his passes for 2,387 yards with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Alfred State QB Joey Frendo - Frendo spent his freshman year at Grand Rapids in Michigan as a back-up and played in several games behind Cody Kater who signed with Central Michigan. GRCC dropped football before Joey got the opportunity to play his sophomore season, so he headed to Alfred State and played this season, earning the starting job. His coaches say he is a great leader. He is a December grad who will have three to play two wherever he ends up. Finished the season by completing nearly 50% of his passes for 1,233 yards eight touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Georgia Military QB Clay Chastain - The freshman had a huge game last week, going 21 of 31 for 342 yards with five touchdowns and a pick as GMC downed Lackawanna 43-25. For the season, Chastain completed 56.2% of his passes for 1,927 yards and 20 touchdowns with seven interceptions while leading the Bulldogs to a 5-5 record.

Tyler QB Tyrik Rollison - The Auburn bounceback acquitted himself nicely in his stint at Tyler this season, racking up 2,960 yards, 22 touchdowns and only eight interceptions while completing 59.4% of his passes and also rushing for 169 yards and five more scores while leading the Apaches to a 5-5 record.

College of the Canyons QB Ryan Kasdorf - Kasdorf went 15 of 19 for 328 yards with four touchdowns in a 46-37 win over Allan Hancock last week, earning National Northern Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Mt. San Antonio QB Nick Montana - The Mounties made a statement last week, downing Riverside 25-0 and Montana was a big reason why going 25 of 31 for 309 yards with three touchdowns and, even more importantly, no interceptions. This season, the Washington bounceback has completed 67.3% of his passes for 2,280 yards with 20 touchdowns and nine picks while also rushing for 129 yards and two more scores, helping to lead Mt. San Antonio to a 10-0 record and the top ranking in the state.

Fullerton QB Conor Bednarski - Bednarski was a big key in the Hornets' 57-23 win over Santa Ana, completing 18 of his 28 pass attempts for 251 yards and three touchdowns. For the season, the sophomore has completed 54.9% of his passes for 2,202 yards with 23 touchdowns and 13 picks.

Saddleback QB Tim Belman - Belman went 33 of 48 for 401 yards and three touchdowns while spreading his completions around by hitting eight different receivers as he guided Saddleback's offense to 564 total yards in a 48-10 win over Golden West last week. The freshman has been a big addition to the Gauchos' attack this season, completing 62.1% of his attempts for 2,856 yards with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Southwestern QB Brett Nelson - In the Jaguars' 55-25 win over Chaffey last week, Nelson went 18 of 32 for 287 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for another score. This season the sophomore signal-caller has completed 65.1% of his passes for 2,581 yards with 22 touchdowns and only nine interceptions while leading Southwestern to a 9-1 record.

West L.A. QB Dallas Lopez - Lopez went 32 of 45 passes for 284 yards with five touchdowns and rushed for 92 yards on seven carries as West L.A. blasted Santa Barbara 52-6 last weekend. The sophomore quarterback has put up some huge numbers this season for West L.A. completing 67.9% of his passes for 3,293 yards with 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

City College of San Francisco QB Andrew Spivey - The sophomore did all he could to keep the Rams unbeaten, going 24 of 43 for 309 yards and two scores, but it wasn't enough as Butte handed CCSF a 31-21 defeat. This season Spivey has completed 57.8% of his passes for 2,379 yards with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for another 150 yards and three more scores.

San Joaquin Delta QB Sam Hutsell - In San Joaquin Delta's 48-37 win over Modesto last week, Hutsell threw for 339 yards and four scores while completing 21 of his 32 pass attempts. Hutsell has been solid this season for the 7-3 Mustangs, completing 61.1% of his passes for 2,369 yards, 27 touchdowns and five picks.

Chabot QB Brandyn Eckhart - Eckhart completed 21 of his 29 pass attempts for 302 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, but did even more damage with his legs, rushing for 74 yards and three more scores in Chabot's 47-45 win over Reedley last Saturday.

Reedley QB Sean Stell - Not to be outdone by Eckhart, Stell did his best to keep the Tigers in the game, actually giving them the lead late, by going 39 of 69 for 343 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
