Florida WR talks recruiting

Robert Torrence is a standout wide receiver prospect from Coral Gables High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Robert Torrence just finished a solid senior regular season, and they'll begin a playoff run this week. He finished the regular season with 15 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He talked about the latest with the recruiting process.

"I haven't scheduled any visits yet," Torrence said. "I plan to do that after the season. Recently I've been talking to Utah State a lot. They're the main one."

Torrence, 6-feet and 185 pounds, talked more about the USU program.

"They're a program on the rise," he said. "They win games and they compete with some of the bigger teams."

While Utah State seems to be showing the most interest right now, Torrence also has a few others on his mind.

"I also like Rutgers, USF, Georgia, Maryland, and Washington," he said. "They haven't offered me yet."

The talented receiver talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I'll look at the depth chart, distance from home, and the program," he said.
