"We went 9-1 in the regular season, and we're getting ready to do big things in the playoffs," Allen said. "Since the beginning of the season our team wanted to prove people wrong. The local paper picked us to finish 7th out of eight teams in our district, so we took it personal. I've had 46 pancakes and 32 knockdowns."
Allen, 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, talked about the latest with recruiting.
"Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and FIT talk to me regularly," he said. "Vanderbilt offered me an academic scholarship and walk on opportunity. Alabama State, Georgia Southern and Bethune have offered."
Allen says he's currently focused on his senior season, instead of recruiting.
"I'm waiting until season is over to finalize dates of visits," he said. "All these schools offered me to go to visit them, including Yale. I'm just weighing out my options, mind is still open to all these schools. No favorites."
The talented big man talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.
"People I surround myself by is a huge factor when I make my final decision -- teammates, coaches, and the school environment."
