Florida WR names top three

Sean Avant is a standout wide receiver prospect from Miramar High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Sean Avant is hoping to help his Miramar team get back to the state championship game this season. He's done a good job with his part, catching 24 passes for 223 yards and two scores through the first ten games of the season.

"We're having a great season," Avant said. "We all just have one goal in mind and that is to get a ring."

Avant, 6-feet and 180 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

"Marshall, Bowling Green, UCF, and FIU talk to me regularly," he said. "I haven't scheduled any visits yet but I plan to in December when the season is over."

Avant says three schools jump out to him right now.

"I like Bowling Green, Marshall, and FIU the most right now," he said. "They're all good schools with good opportunities."

The talented receiver talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I want a school with a good Accounting program, and coaches I can bond with for four years. I really want to like my position coach. I want a chance to earn a spot to play early. And I want to feel comfortable at that school."
