Skipper May Re-Evaluate Commitment

Will three-star OT Dan Skipper stay committed to Tennessee?

Three-star offensive tackle Dan Skipper committed to Tennessee in June and was firmly committed to the Volunteers until Derek Dooley was let go last week.

Sources close to FoxSportsNext, that wish to remain anonymous, tell us that Coach Dooley was a big factor in the 6-10 Skipper's commitment to the Vols and that while Tennessee isn't out of the picture, he definitely is going to re-evaluate his commitment.

That being said, our sources say that he will not make any decisions until his team is out of the playoffs. Ralston Valley is playing Cherokee Trail in the state semi-finals on 11/24.

Schools that may be in the mix and may possibly get a trip from Skipper are Washington and Stanford.

Until Skipper goes on record stating otherwise, we will keep him listed as a commit to Tennessee. Check back with FoxSportsNext for more on this situation as it unfolds.

**Updated quote from Skipper, "I just want to finish out the season and do what we need to do as a team. I can't change anything with Tennessee, I am not going to back out now. I may take a couple of visits or I may not. I just want to see how all of this plays out."
