King Trio Visits Columbus

Detroit King had a trio of juniors in Columbus today for the Ohio State-Michigan game, and it appears as though one is close to an offer from the Buckeyes.

Detroit King had three visitors at Ohio State today, all in the junior class: linebacker Carl Fuller, cornerback Jalen Embry and wide receiver Avonte Maddox.

"The kids were very impressed with the environment," said assistant coach Terel Patrick, who accompanied the players down. "It's like down south football being played up north with the fan participation and intensity. All three had a great time."

Fuller is an early Scout300 member, and has a Syracuse offer. The Buckeyes may be the next to come for the 6'3, 195-lb striker.

"They're really interested and close to pulling the trigger on Carl from an offer standpoint. Coach Coombs will be up at King next Thursday to meet with head coaches one on one."

Embry, a playmaking 5'11 corner and the speedy Maddox are also on the board.

"They are also impressed with Jalen and Avonte, but they haven't finished evaluating them as a staff yet, so the assistants will continue to evaluate as well."

King should be a busy place next week as the Buckeyes are not the only school coming through.

"I believe Rutgers should be in the building next week, and Cincinnati should be in early next week for these three."
