Gainesville (Ga.) vs. Marietta (Ga.) Kell
What a game this was. Gainesville was down 35-28 at the half, but they came out and scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 49-35 lead, and they never looked back. They went on to win the second round playoff game 61-42. Gainesville was led by 2014 quarterback Deshaun Watson. The 6-foot-3, 185 pound signal caller had 212 yards passing and three touchdowns, then he added 158 yards on the ground and two more touchdowns. He played an outstanding game. He stayed under control, he converted some huge third downs in the second half, and he made a lot of big throws and runs in this game. He has really matured this season and the Clemson commitment is on track to challenge for the top quarterback in Georgia next season.
Kell had a star of their own Friday night and it was new Georgia commitment Brendan Langley. After flipping to UGA from South Carolina on Tuesday, Langley scored four touchdowns in this game and he finished with 167 yards on five receptions. He also played solid at corner where he had half a dozen tackles and a pass break-up. He has so much speed and he just plays fast in pads. He could be one that plays both ways in Athens. Another UGA commitment is Quincy Mauger and the safety out of Kell played possibly his best game of the season. He had double-digit tackles and what stood out the most to me was his leadership. He would call out his teammates, get them lined up correctly, and he really ran that Longhorn secondary. He is a smart player who could surprise some people in Athens.

Vero Beach (Fla.) vs East Lake (Fla.)
East Lake took this second round playoff game against a very competitive Vero Beach team. The player of the game was super sophomore George Campbell. Campbell stars at wide receiver and defensive end. On this night, he made his presence felt on defense, where he fell on a fumble in the endzone for a score in the first half. He added a scoop and score for 90 plus yards in the third quarter for the game's key touchdown. Campbell is big (6-4/190), fast and very athletic. It's scary how high this kid's ceiling is.
East Lake quarterback Pete DiNovo is a great pickup for George O'Leary and UCF. This is your classic pro-style signal caller with an above average arm. When he has time to plant and fire he's very accurate. Dinovo is strong in the short to intermediate passing game. Sometimes he hangs onto the ball a tad long and that gets him in trouble. While he's not a statue in the pocket Dinovo is also not the most fleet of foot.
Junior wide receiver Artavis Scott is a recruit that everyone will be talking about next season. He has good size (5-11/180) and great speed. Scott is very dangerous with the ball in his hands. He can beat the secondary deep and shows the ability to go get the ball in the air. Scott will also block downfield for teammates.
2014 offensive lineman Mason Cole and safety Devin Abraham both had very good games. Cole plays left tackle. This kid already has the size (6-4/280) and is long. He moves very well and looks equally adept in pass pro and run blocking. Abraham is a smaller safety (5-8/175). He had several big hits and an interception late in the fourth quarter.
Sean Paul and Dravious Wright are two quality prospects in the Vero secondary. They both played cornerback and were matched up all night long on Campbell and Scott. They are both physical and can run. Junior Will Dawkins is an explosive slot receiver with excellent speed and tenacity. He took a short catch and ran 80-yards for a score. On several plays Dawkins ran like a bully and was so tough to bring down.
