Conley De-Commits From Michigan

Less than 24 hours after reaffirming his commitment to Michigan, Gareon Conley has reversed his field and de-committed from the Wolverines. Here is Conley's statement on his status.

Four-star cornerback Gareon Conley has been the source of discussion the past month, as the Michigan commit has discussed taking visits, to be certain of his choice of schools.

Conley, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, visited Ohio State unofficially last week, and reaffirmed his pledge to Michigan Monday evening. This afternoon, Conley announced he has de-committed from the Wolverines.

"I have de-committed from Michigan," Conley stated Tuesday afternoon. "I do plan on taking an official visit to Ohio State, to see what they are all about and to get to know everyone there. I really like them, and I'm an Ohio boy. I really like Coach (Urban) Meyer and Coach (Mike) Vrabel a lot, and look forward to spending time with them."

"I have not set up the official visit with Ohio State yet," he added. "Coach Vrabel is coming to my school on Thursday, and we will set up the official visit date at that time. Oregon isn't offering me, and they're out of the picture."

FoxSportsNext will continue to monitor Conley's recruitment, all will update his situation as circumstances warrant.
