Kiser remains solid with UVA

Quick hitter: Gilman (MD) linebacker Micah Kiser remains solid with UVa.

After a disappointing season for Virginia, Micah Kiser was entertaining the idea of taking an official visit to Maryland, a program in his backyard. That all changed when UVa Coach Poindexter made an in-home visit with Kiser this afternoon.

"He is not going to visit Maryland, said Gilman assistant coach Henry Russell. "He is 100-percent solid with UVa. It's the best fit for him he said, and Darius Jennings has had a great start there. He feels comfortable with his decision now."

The face-to-face meeting with his recruiter certainly helped give Kiser the confidence he needs to move forward as a Cavalier. He is officially off the market, and he will not be taking any visits other than to Charlottesville.

Stay tuned for more.
