"I think he'll bring up the program. I love the fact that he's a defensive-minded coach."
The University School (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) standout likes what Mark Stoops has done at Florida State and thinks he'll bring a lot of good experience to Kentucky.
"He's turned the (FSU) program around defensively and he's coached up some of the best corners and dbs at Florida State," Battle said.
"You can tell that he could be a great head coach with what he's done with the defense at Florida State."
Battle hasn't heard from the new head coach yet, but he wants to work on building that bond before he says he's one-hundred percent in with the Wildcats.
"I want to get to know him a little more before I solidify my commitment to them, and who he brings on his staff as well," he said.
"They say he should be calling me in about a week or so."
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound safety will take an official visit to Buffalo this weekend and he's looking forward to experiencing some new aspects of the program.
"(I want to see) the campus, getting to know the coaching staff and the football team, seeing what they have to offer me," Battle said.
