Daimler picked up offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Louisiana, Texas State, and UNLV before committing to the Sun Devils in October, but the 6-foot-7, 280-pound prospect was also receiving serious interest from some more big programs.
National Recruiting Analyst Greg Powers and Midlands reporter Erin Hartigan recently discussed what Daimler's commitment means for the Sun Devils' program.
"He had a lot of big, heavy hitters from the area checking in with him, so he's a big steal for Arizona State. He has the size, and he's an athletic prospect at 270 pounds. He still has room to grow. Texas A&M, Oklahoma were seriously recruiting him. They didn't extend an offer and Arizona State got an offensive tackle that's going to be able to come in to that program and develop and possibly be a true left tackle, and those are hard to find."
