"I loved it at Minnesota, and everything went great," Laster stated. "My dad went with me, and he was very impressed with everything, just like I was. The coaches are recruiting me as a linebacker, and they had four seniors this year. They told me the linebacker position is wide open, and I have a chance to play early."
The Gopher coaching staff made the Laster family feel very much at home, and the visit had a positive impact on the player.
"I can definitely see myself there for the next four years, and it's a great campus and city," he explained. "My dad likes how Coach (Jerry) Kill runs the program, and the direction they're moving in. They made me feel a part of the family up there, and I feel I have a decision to make."
"I might be committing there this week, but I'm not sure yet," Laster stressed. "I want to talk it over further with my family and my coach, and there's definitely a chance I could be committing to Minnesota in the next few days.
FoxSportsNext will continue to monitor Laster's situation, and will update as necessary.
