Flick Talks Status With Bearcats

Despite news University of Cincinnati head coach Butch Jones was leaving for Tennessee, pledge Ben Flick (Hamilton, Ohio) is trying to stay upbeat about where he stands with the Bearcats program. We check in with Flick for an update.

Dazed and confused would be a good way to explain the emotions being felt by members of Cincinnati's 2013 recruiting class.

Hamilton (Ohio) offensive lineman Ben Flick heard today's news this morning and is trying to figure out what is best for him.

"I've been a strong Cincinnati commit," said Flick. "However, I'm going to keep my options open as I don't know what is going to happen. Honestly I don't know what's going to happen as Coach (Butch) Jones might take some or all of the staff with him to Tennessee. Also the new head coach could fire the coaches that don't go so there is no telling what might happen."

Friday found a couple of schools stopping in looking to talk with Flick about the changes at Cincinnati.

"A couple of schools stopped at school today," said Flick. "I talked with them for a while so to be safe I'm going to open myself up a little bit until something happens at Cincinnati."
