Autry has a Big Season

After exploding onto the North Carolina High School football scene as a freshman, Albemarle (N.C.) defensive tackle Lee Autry had an even better sophomore season.

Over the years, Albemarle High School has produced some great players. If the past two seasons are any indication, the next one will be Lee Autry.

"Everything is going real well," said Autry. "My season went well – we went 13-2."

"I ended the season with 152 tackles, six sacks, and two touchdowns on offense."

Three schools have been in contact the most with the 2015 prospect.

"Florida State, Georgia, and North Carolina have been sending me the most stuff right now," said the 6-foot-3, 280-pound Autry. "I'm still waiting on my first offer. I think North Carolina will be the first."

"North Carolina and Georgia are standing out right now."

Autry's older brother plays in the SEC, so he will likely make a trip down there in the near future.

"I'll probably go visit my brother down at Mississippi State," he said. "The coaches down there were also talking about offering me. "

For now, Autry will work on getting better in the offseason.

"I'm just going to work on my conditioning and my strength," he said.

In his first two seasons of high school football (both on the varsity level), Autry has 282 tackles and 13 sacks.
