"I feel like we had a good season," said Brown. "We went undefeated and won the district, but we lost in the first round (of the playoffs). It was heartbreaking to lose in the first round of the playoffs because I feel like we could have done better."
On the recruiting front, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Brown is down to two schools.
"I'm taking an official visit to Pittsburgh from January 11-13 and one to Richmond from January 18-20."
Each school appeals to Brown.
Pittsburgh : "I like the environment. When I went up there to see a game, I just like how it felt."
Richmond : "With Richmond, it's close to home. The people there always welcome me, and the guy who is recruiting me is a graduate of Hermitage. He played receiver like me, so he knows what I'm going through."
In college, Brown could play receiver or anywhere in the secondary on defense. However, he has a preference.
"I prefer receiver," he said. "But at this point, whichever school I like is the one that I'll go to regardless of the position they want me to play," Brown said.
The Hermitage standout knows what he is looking for in a school.
"I'm going to be looking for somewhere that is a good fit for me," he said. "It needs to be a place where I can feel at home and comfortable."
After his visits, Brown said he will not wait long to make a decision.
"After I take my visit to Richmond, I'll probably make my decision that next week," he said. "Since I'm only visiting those two schools, all my questions should be answered on my officials."
