"I'm doing good," said Long. "Things have been going pretty smoothly, I have been meeting a lot of new coaches."
This past weekend, Long took his first official visit to Montana, with teammate and fellow wide receiver Marquin Russell.
"What stood out to me was that it was a small community but big at same time," said Long. "The people were friendly and were out all times of the day, there were always people around."
"Montana, I like their system," said Long. "But I am going to stick with Washington."
While it wasn't enough to open up his recruitment, Long is tempted by the idea of playing with Russell in college.
"That was kind of our wish as freshmen, that we could play together," said Long. "But it comes down to what we both want. It'd be great if I could play with him for the next four years."
Long is still working on exact dates, but does know where he will likely take his final four official visits.
"I plan on taking an official visit (to Washington) right after the two week break," said Long. "If I can't take it then, I will take it the last weekend before signing day. So either early January or the end of January."
The 6'4" 190lbs prospect talked about the relief that came with his early commitment and the building pressure of signing day being just more than a month away.
"Pretty much it is both, I am relaxed but now I get a lot more phone calls," said Long. "It is part of the recruiting process. I am just trying to balance school and sports."
