Hawkins, 'I feel like he's a USC guy'

USC hosted official visitor Leon McQuay over the weekend. The four-star safety is uncommitted, but Chris Hawkins believes it might only be a matter of time before he pledges USC.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) cornerback Chris Hawkins just can't seem to get enough of his soon-to-be new home.

The USC 2013 commit took his official visit to Troy just a week ago, but was back this weekend for more.

Hawkins, this time on an unofficial visit, took in the Trojans' practice on Saturday standing alongside fellow USC commit Steven Mitchell and official visitor Leon McQuay.

McQuay is a four-star safety who made the trip to Los Angeles from Seffner (Fla.) Armwood High School for his visit.

Hawkins is convinced the uncommitted McQuay enjoyed his time at USC, "He's a good dude," Hawkins said. "He smiles at all times."

McQuay's father tweeted a picture of his son using the production equipment available to students at USC, Hawkins confirmed it was "really cool" for McQuay to run the music boards and see the possibilities the school offers.

"I really feel like he's going to be a USC guy," Hawkins said.

As for Hawkins, he is finishing his last finals as a high school student this week. He's an early enrollee for the Trojans and will be back to campus for good on January 10th.
