2015 ATH adds two big offers

Terry Godwin was first offered a scholarship by his in-state school, Georgia, but two other strong programs out of the SEC have offered him recently.

"I now have offers from Georgia, Alabama, and Florida," Terry Godwin told Scout. "Alabama and Florida recently had coaches come by our school and I found out about their offers that day from my coach."

Godwin has been drawing attention since his freshman season. He is one of the top athletes in Georgia and he is excited about his two new offers.

"I have been to camp and to a game before over at Alabama, so I know a lot about them. I really like the coaches there, the surroundings are great, the people are nice, and they win a lot.

"I have not visited Florida yet, but they have invited me down next summer, so I will visit them then. I have seen them on TV and I like what they do, and I like Coach [Will] Muschamp. I think Coach Muschamp has done a great job of getting Florida back.

"Both schools are great, both have great football teams, and I like both of them."

Along with Alabama and Florida, plenty of other schools have walked the Callaway halls in Hoganville, Ga. late in 2012 to check on this 6-foot, 158 pound sophomore.

"It feels great to have offers from three of the best schools in the country. I know I have a lot more work to do, but I must be doing something right.

"I was very surprised when Georgia offered me over the summer, but that has just made me work even harder."

Godwin does not have any favorites and he is just enjoying the recruiting process right now.

"All of the schools are even," he said. "I have been to Georgia more than the other schools and I like them a lot, but I am going to look at all of the schools that offer me. It is too early for me to have a leader right now."

This 2015 athlete could play cornerback or wide receiver on the next level.
