Jacobs told Scout on Monday that a decision could come in the next day, the visit to Fresno making a lasting impression on him.
By Monday evening, Jacobs was ready to spend the next 4-5 years in the Central Valley.
"I committed tonight," Jacobs said on Monday night. "I committed to Coach (Jordan) Peterson and the head coach, Coach (Tim) DeRuyter."
Jacobs raved about his trip to Fresno, and the feeling he had while there ultimately swayed him there.
"The love they showed me on my trip by the coaching staff, I really felt wanted," said Jacobs.
And Jacobs, the former basketball player-turned football star, is thrilled about his future.
"I couldn't have said it better, pretty excited and relieved to make the decision, and furthermore, I am blessed for this opportunity," said Jacobs. "My family is pretty excited too."
