Jackson Opens Things Up

The Cerritos (Calif.) Gahr linebacker, Caleb Jackson, opened up his recruitment this week...

Cerritos (Calif.) Gahr linebacker Caleb Jackson had committed to Idaho in October.

But on Wednesday, Jackson decided to open things up.

"With the coaching changes at Idaho, Caleb has decommitted and opened up his recruitment," said Gahr assistant coach Jon Nielsen.

Jackson was originally offered by former Vandal coach Robb Akey, who was later fired and replaced by Paul Petrino as the Vandals head coach.

"He's completely open now to any schools and isn't considering Idaho," said Nielsen.

Nielsen said schools like San Jose State, Utah State and Colorado are under consideration.
