Excited about the future

Wayne Gallman, Scout.com's No. 38 ranked running back in the class of 2013, is less than two months away from signing with Clemson.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound senior has been committed to Clemson since April. He'll make it official on national signing day in February.

"I'm really excited. I think about it everyday. I've been waiting to get up there since I committed. I can't wait to get up there," Gallman recently told CUTigers.

Earlier this month, Clemson running backs coach Tony Elliott and defensive ends coach Marion Hobby stopped by Grayson High School [Loganville, Ga.] to check up on Gallman and a few of his teammates.

Gallman, who will take his official visit to Clemson on the weekend of Jan. 11, isn't sure if his Grayson teammates will be there, too.

The four-star running back remained solid with his commitment to the Tigers after Robert Nkemdiche and David Kamara withdrew their pledges.

Regardless, Gallman plans to have a good time in Tigertown.

"I'm just looking forward to having fun with the players and the other recruits, just looking to relax and really bond with everyone," he said.

Impressed by the 10-2 record Clemson posted this season, Gallman looks forward to joining the Tigers' offense next fall.

"They've done great," he said. "The games that they've lost, those were hard games. They could have either won or lost those, so they've had a good season."

Not far from his home in Loganville, the Tigers will be playing in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve.

"Of course, I want them to win. I think it's going to be a good game against LSU. But I want Clemson to come out on top," Gallman said.

As a senior, he rushed for 1,115 yards and 13 touchdowns.
