SEC offer for McCray

Running back Stafon McCray (Kissimmee, Fla./Osceola) has recently picked up a scholarship offer from a SEC school.

Add a new team to the mix for running back Stafon McCray (Kissimmee, Fla./Osceola).

"I just picked up a scholarship offer from Kentucky," McCray said. "Honestly, I don't know much about them. But it's the SEC. That's big. That's a big achievement for me. I am thinking about taking a visit and setting that up. I know they have a knew staff so there's some stuff I have to figure out."

McCray, 5-foot-11 and 200-pounds, also has a visit set for Utah (1-12) next month while he will likely set up one to Miami (Ohio) and is hoping to hear from South Florida.

"I am planning on setting one up to Ohio," McCray said. "USF is a really good in-state school that I would love to hear from. I would love to play for that new staff."

McCray had a big senior season, rushing for over 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns on 221 carries. His team lost a close one in the state semi-finals to Tallahassee Lincoln two weeks ago.

McCray participated for the North team in the Florida North-South All-Star Game. He scored a touchdown in the second quarter.

"There was a lot of D1 talent out there and I had a terrific time," McCray said. "I would have loved to have had more touches but we had a bunch of good backs and I know that coach is going to get everyone their carries. It's cool. It was a great experience and I am happy to have scored."
