Juwan Gardner has been committed to Western Kentucky for months now. But with the coaching change, there is always uncertainty. FOX Sports Next talked with the Manual safety about his situation.

After finishing the season with 55 tackles and an interception, Juwan Gardner is now looking to the future. Gardner had been committed to Western Kentucky and Willie Taggart. But when Taggart bolted to South Florida, everything was back up in the air.

Gardner got a chance, however, to speak with new Western Kentucky coach, Bob Petrino on Thursday.

"Petrino actually did an in-home visit with me last Thursday. It was nice. He's a real smooth talker, but I like him," said Gardner. "He sounded like a man with a plan, so I'm still pretty solid with them, but my options are still open."

Gardner had offers from Marshall, Miami, Southern Illinois, Ball State, Indiana State and Tennessee-Martin. He plans to visit UT-Martin.

"I'm going to UT-Martin. I don't have set dates yet, but I'm taking my Western visit in January and UT-Martin wants me to come a week after I take that visit," Gardner finished.

FOX Sports Next will keep you up with the latest on Juwan Gardner.
