"Florida State is in there now," said Ngakoue as a result of the coaching changes across the country. "I knocked off Tennessee because my recruiter Coach Sal went to Florida State, so Florida State is in my top."
Ngakoue will join a talented pool of players from the mid-Atlantic region on the field this weekend in the Chesapeake Bowl before he takes his remaining official visits to Miami, Florida State and South Carolina (in this order).
"It means a lot to be in this game. Everyone is good so it will bring good competition," he said while sporting a Gamecocks hat to check-in. But hey, don't jump to any conclusions.
"It doest mean anything," he responded. "I am just showing love to the Gamecocks because they show me a lot of love. People will see me throughout the Chesapeake Bowl practices in different college attire to show my appreciation for the schools that are recruiting me." This also means he will be getting a lot of grief from friends and teammates.
Ngakoue is certainly feeling the pressure from teammate Derwin Gray, a Maryland commit. According through the grapevine, the Terps are most definitely still in the mix for Ngakoue and a school that remains close to his heart. Stay tuned for more.
