Ohio State and Under Armour Week

Participants will gather in Orlando this coming Sunday for a week of practice leading up to the Under Armour All-American game on January 4th. There will be several Buckeye commits and targets on display all week, as well as notable underclassmen showing their skills in the Junior Combine. Scout.com will be on-hand to cover all the action.

Ohio State will have both commits and recruiting targets on display next week in Orlando. First off, the seniors will be practicing all week in preparation for the Under Armour All-American game on January 4th.

Ohio State will also have several recruits competing in the elite Junior Combine held the day of the All-American game. Who will Scout.com be focusing on next week?

Joey Bosa. FIVE-STAR. 6-foot-5, 270-pounds. Defensive end. I haven't seen Bosa live since spring practice following his sophomore year of high school. At the time, I had him as the top prospect I had seen in person in the 2014 class. Will look forward to seeing how Bosa has progressed since that time, and how he handles going against the top offensive linemen in the country.

Jalin Marshall. FIVE-STAR. 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. Wide receiver. After seeing Marshall dominate Ohio high school football twice in the past two years from the quarterback spot, it will be interesting to watch him play wide receiver against the top defensive backs in the country. Nice way to break in to a new position, but I suspect "Mr. Excitement" is going to do just fine.

Cameron Burrows. FOUR-STAR. 6-foot, 200-pounds. Cornerback. After being rarely challenged as a senior, Burrows will be on an island on a daily basis against highly-skilled wide receivers. There are questions of whether Burrows can cover well enough to play on the corner at Ohio State. That should be answered next week, as he will face the country's top wideouts, and it will be interesting to see how he holds up.

Gareon Conley. FOUR-STAR. 6-foot-2, 170-pounds. Cornerback. Although he impressed this season at both wide receiver and cornerback at Massillon, Conley will play defensive back exclusively in Orlando. Ohio State has indicated he could play either side of the football, but I love his potential at cornerback and see him as a younger Bradley Roby.

Marcus Baugh. FOUR-STAR. 6-foot-4, 230-pounds. Tight end. Really looking forward to seeing Baugh in action, as I've only seen film on this impressive athlete. In all-star competitions, the tight ends are primarily blockers, so it will be good to see how he holds up in that area.

Vonn Bell. FIVE-STAR. 6-foot, 190-pounds. Safety. Having seen Bell in action at Ohio State's camp, it will be great to see him with pads on. Will also be interesting to get his thoughts on his recruitment, and where Ohio State stands with him. Going to be a battle between Alabama, Tennessee and the Buckeyes.

Trey Johnson. FOUR-STAR. 6-foot-2, 220-pounds. Linebacker. Although his film is good, I'm looking forward to being able to compare Johnson to the linebackers currently on the Ohio State roster. Will also attempt to see where his recruitment is, and if anything has changed since the dead period began. Hard to see him anywhere but Ohio State.

Dontre Wilson. FOUR-STAR. 5-foot-10, 180-pounds. Tailback. With things heating up on Chip Kelly possibly heading off to the NFL, it could get interesting with Wilson. A possible sidebar could be if the Buckeyes pursuing Wilson has any affect on Ezekiel Elliott. For now, Wilson remains committed to Oregon, but has had multiple contacts with Ohio State.

Max Redfield. FOUR-STAR. 6-foot-2, 195-pounds. Safety. Supposedly a Buckeye option should they lose Vonn Bell. I'm not buying an ounce of that and think he's headed to Notre Dame, but will definitely follow up on Redfield's recruitment while seeing him in Orlando.
