SC Game Film: Isaac Stewart

Earlier this month, Matthews (N.C.) Butler won its third 4AA state championship in the past four years. Junior linebacker Isaac Stewart played a big role in the team's victory 56-28 victory over Jack Britt. See the junior linebacker in action in this presentation by FOX Sports Next.

Isaac Stewart had a breakout season this fall.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Stewart was a key player for one of the top high school teams in the country.

He finished the season with 110 tackles and five sacks.

Stewart made the move to linebacker from defensive end in 2012. The 2014 prospect quickly adjusted and became a force on defense. Stewart shows good instincts and is smart football player. He has good size and is a good athlete. Stewart does a nice job of taking on blockers and runs very well. While he is still learning to play the position, it is clear that his best football is ahead of him.

Recruiting : Stewart is waiting on his first scholarship offer. However, he is attracting interest from Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia, Missouri, Louisville, Penn State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Nebraska.
