As a senior offensive lineman at North Gwinnett High School (GA), Andy Kwon will finish his high school career as one of the top prospects in the state.
Kwon will play in the All-State game on Saturday in Columbus.
Last week, Kwon played as a Gwinnett County All-Star at Peachtree Ridge High School. Kwon competed for Buford Coach Jess Simpson in a 23-21 victory over South Gwinnett Coach John Small and his team.
"I had a lot of fun with the guys," Kwon said of his All-County status. "Getting the chance to play under the Friday night lights again meant a lot."
Although Saturday marks his final four quarters as a high school athlete, Kwon will not venture far from home to begin his college career.
"I committed to Georgia Southern on my birthday," Kwon said of his announcement on September 30th. "I took a visit when they played Samford and decided to commit.
"I just love the place."
As for others still pursuing Kwon, he says, "I am 100% committed to Georgia Southern. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I'm committed to Southern."
